The Ethernet/CAN converter operates as a simple data converter capable of handling communication between CAN bus and Ethernet IEEE 802.3, IP ICMP, ARP, UDP, TCP, HTTP or proprietary protocols. Communication can occur in both directions. The Ethernet port can communication up to 100 Mbps, the CAN port has overcurrent protection that triggers at 1A, which can support high speed CAN with a baud rate of up to 1 Mbps. It can interface with SAE J1939 or CANopen. The Protocol Converter is IP67 rated and suitable for harsh operating environments.
